Active Shooter Training and Services
The security industry costs approximately $94B annually for basic protection and response with little focus on prevention. Chris Grollnek provides training for Active Shooter Prevention and Domestic Terrorism Explosive Recognition. These training sessions can be a cost saver instead of a line item. The annual security spend is increasing at a rate that soon, it will be cheaper to install “witness only” measures instead of any prevention or deterrent systems. By implementing our unique strategy into your business unit, typically thought of as a cost expenditure, instead can be transformed into a revenue generation item.
By leveraging life-saving training for corporations against their annual insurance binder as a “safety initiative” (good for three years), a security division can reduce the cost up to seven percent (7%) on binders year-over-year. This provides opportunity for a return on your spend in two years while realizing the third year in savings. This measurement is an example of typical terrorism or haphazard rider billed against corporate insurance binders. This training creates an [opportunity] to reduce insurance costs annually.

The Active Shooter Prevention Seminar is built for large audiences and is the most popular of all of our training courses. Chris Grollnek incorporates a training seminar with an in-depth look back at events while incorporating his copyrighted material to assist the audience in surviving the unthinkable with a high participation rate from attendees. Workplace Violence Deterrence & Active Shooter Prevention and Response seminars are billed by audience size. 1-50, 51-100, 101-200, 201-300, 301-500, 501-and up – includes topics such as:

Active Shooter Prevention Training Workshops for Leaders | Employees
- Includes a 2-hour debrief of the safety and security assessment results with discussion around how to mitigate the risks associated with identified areas of concern.
- Includes a 2-hour workplace violence prevention and response training seminar covering topics such as:
- Situational Awareness
- Adopting the survival mind set during times of crisis
- Appropriate, rapid reactions when threats present themselves
- Instruction on when to evacuate or act against an active shooter
- Note: Chris Grollnek does not advocate the commonly referenced “hide” option used by the federal government and law enforcement as a response to active shooter situations – people who shelter in place become easy targets for attackers.
- Includes a 3-hour, tabletop exercise that helps shape attendees’ internal response to threatening events while developing an understanding of how these types of incidents unfold. It will also help attendees discover obstacles to mutual aid, communications with both on-site and outside agencies such as Police, Fire and other 1st responders to mitigate unnecessary chaos and uncertainty in the event of a critical incident.
Vulnerability / Security Assessments and Policy Implementation
The national average for police response times to an active shooter event is 12 – 17 minutes. The average incident lasts no more than seven (7) minutes. With these facts, we must decide who are really the true first responders to incidents… If you answered, “Me and others around me!”, you are correct. God forbid such an event should ever occur in your vicinity, but making you and your employees feel safe and prepared is the goal and key result of a customized training program.
Media Contributor – Mainstream News and Print Interviews
Members of the media can help and have an obligation to be trained to better understand an Active Shooter event and how other critical incidents occur before, during and after the action begins. Mr. Grollnek assists by instructing in a clearer reporting practice as coverage develops in these dynamic situations. Through a quick media tool kit training session, your investigative and reporting story board will be reinvented to better report upon these types of incidents.
